1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing and using consciouscostarica.com (the "Site") and its associated services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please discontinue use immediately.

2. Description of services

Conscious Costa Rica provides:

• Educational resources: Book, checklists, calculators, guides, and blog posts about conscious relocation to Costa Rica
• Concierge service: Personalized support for relocation planning (Immersion Concierge)
• Allies network: Directory of vetted professionals (real estate, legal, surveying, accounting, healthcare, etc.)
• Contact services: Ability to request information or connect with professionals

3. Nature of content – educational, not professional advice

All content provided on the Site, including the book, resources, guides, and blog posts, is educational material only. It does not constitute:

• Legal advice or representation
• Tax or financial advice
• Real estate or investment advice
• Immigration or residency guidance
• Medical or health advice

Information is provided for informational purposes and should be used as a starting point for your research. For any decision involving contracts, residency applications, property acquisition, tax structure, or health matters, you must consult with accredited professionals registered in Costa Rica. We recommend using professionals from our Allies network, but the final decision to hire them is entirely yours.

4. Concierge services

Service description: The Immersion Concierge is a support service designed to assist with relocation planning and coordination.

Fees and billing: Fees are communicated and agreed upon before service begins. Billing occurs according to the selected package. We accept payment via credit card and bank transfer.

Cancellation and refunds: Cancellation policy, refund terms, and service level agreements are provided in your booking confirmation and service agreement. Contact contact@consciouscostarica.com for questions.

Liability: The Concierge service is advisory in nature. We do not guarantee outcomes or the success of your relocation. You are responsible for all decisions made based on our recommendations.

5. Allies network and professional relationships

The Allies section showcases independent professionals we recommend based on verified performance. These professionals are independent contractors, not employees or agents of Conscious Costa Rica.

6. Virtus Realty commercial disclosure

Conscious Costa Rica has a formal commercial relationship with Virtus Realty, a real estate brokerage operating in Costa Rica. Specifically:

• Conscious Costa Rica may receive a referral commission when a real estate transaction is successfully closed through Virtus Realty
• This commission is paid by Virtus Realty and does not increase the cost to you as a client
• This relationship is disclosed transparently at all times
• Other Allies in our network are recommended based on verified performance; we do not receive commissions from them

7. No endorsement of professionals

While we verify the background and track record of Allies, we do not endorse any specific professional's services. Engaging with an Allied professional is your independent decision. We are not responsible for:

• Quality of services provided by any Allied professional
• Disputes between you and an Allied professional
• Outcomes of any transaction or service

Any disputes should be resolved directly between you and the professional, or through appropriate legal channels in Costa Rica.

8. Accuracy of information and updates

We make our best effort to keep all information accurate and current. However:

• Costa Rican law and regulations change frequently
• Tax rates, real estate prices, and cost of living fluctuate
• Information is current as of the publication date
• We are not responsible for losses resulting from reliance on outdated information

Always verify current requirements with official Costa Rican government sources and accredited professionals before making decisions.

9. User-generated content and inquiries

When you submit a form, download a resource, or send an inquiry:

• You grant us permission to store and use the information as described in our Privacy Policy
• You represent that the information you provide is accurate and truthful
• You are responsible for any content you submit

10. Intellectual property

All content on consciouscostarica.com, including text, images, designs, and layouts, is the intellectual property of Conscious Costa Rica, unless otherwise attributed. You may download and print materials for personal use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, or publish any content without prior written permission.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Conscious Costa Rica shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, business, or data
• Decisions made based on Site content
• Actions or omissions of Allied professionals
• Site downtime or technical issues

Our total liability under these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for services, if any.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Conscious Costa Rica from any claims, damages, or losses resulting from:

• Your use of the Site
• Violations of these terms
• Your decisions based on Site information
• Your interactions with Allied professionals

13. Modifications to terms and services

We may update these terms or our services at any time. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Dispute resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of Costa Rica. Any disputes shall be resolved through negotiation, mediation, or arbitration under Costa Rican law. By using the Site, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of Costa Rican courts.

15. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary, and all other provisions shall remain in effect.
